What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We offer complimentary pickup service from any hotel located in downtown Iquitos or directly from the arrivals area at Iquitos International Airport (Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta). Please provide us with your hotel name or flight details when booking so we can coordinate the exact time for your transfer.
Our guide or driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby or at the airport arrivals area holding a sign with our agency name 'Amazon Lodge & Expeditions' or the main passenger's name.
The tour ends by returning to Iquitos around 5:00 p.m. We provide complimentary drop-off service back to your hotel in the city center or directly to the airport.

DAY 1: Iquitos, Nanay River & Amazon Lodge. Transfer to Bellavista Nanay to board our boat and navigate the Nanay and Amazon rivers, visiting the meeting point of both rivers. If conditions are favorable, we will look for pink and gray dolphins in their natural habitat. Arrival at Amazon Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Sinchicuy community to learn about their traditional lifestyle and customs. After dinner, we will go out for an exciting night walk to spot insects, tree frogs, rodents, and nocturnal Amazonian wildlife.

2Iquitos Amazon Region
DAY 2: Amazonian Sunrise, Yagua Community & Yanayacu River. We will start early to enjoy a beautiful sunrise and birdwatching. After breakfast, we will visit the Yagua community to learn about their traditions and practice using the traditional blowgun (cerbatana). Then, we will navigate the calm waters of the reserve to observe birds and giant water lilies (Victoria amazonica). We will enjoy the sunset and, after dinner, head out for a second night walk searching for snakes and nocturnal species. DAY 3: The Giant Lupuna Tree, Piranha Fishing & Return to Iquitos. After breakfast, we will trek into the forest to reach the majestic Lupuna (Ceiba pentandra), one of the giant and iconic trees of the Amazon, learning about its ecological importance. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in the river and try traditional piranha fishing. After lunch, we will navigate back to Iquitos, followed by a transfer to your hotel or the airport.
