For fishing enthusiasts, Lombok's waters offer some of the best recreational fishing in Indonesia. The seas surrounding the island teem with pelagic and reef fish, and our local crew — who have fished these waters their entire lives — know exactly where to find them.
Departing at 05:00 AM, you board your private glass-bottom boat as the sky begins to lighten over Mount Rinjani. The crew serves Lombok coffee and a simple breakfast as you head to the first fishing grounds. The main techniques used are jigging (dropping weighted lures to the bottom and working them up through the water column) and surface trolling, depending on conditions and target species.
The most prized catch is Mahi-Mahi (Dorado) — a powerful, fast-running fish known for its spectacular aerial leaps when hooked. Barracuda, Bonito, and Mackerel are also common catches. Your crew will assist you with all aspects of fishing, from baiting to handling your catch.
