Lecce Pasta Cooking Class Handmade Salentine Pasta

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

Step into one of Lecce's most beautiful new venues — Boulangerie, a stunning modern space right on Piazza Mazzini, in the heart of the city. Behind this contemporary setting lies a family story that began in 1990: one of Lecce's most beloved local institutions, now reimagined for a new generation.
Here, guided by a skilled local pasta maker, you'll learn to prepare traditional Salentine fresh pasta entirely by hand — no demos, no watching. Just you, the dough, and decades of tradition passed down come la Nonna.
With a maximum of 10 guests, the atmosphere is intimate and genuinely local. And because you're right in the center of Lecce, the rest of your day is yours — explore the baroque old town, browse the boutiques, enjoy a coffee in the piazza. No transfers, no countryside drives. Just great food, great company, and one of the best addresses in Lecce.

What to expect

Your morning begins at 10:00 AM at one of Lecce's most iconic new spaces, rooted in a family tradition since 1990, right on Piazza Mazzini in the city center.

From the first minute, you'll be hands-on. Your local pasta maker will guide you through the full process: selecting the right flour, working the dough by hand, and shaping it into the traditional pasta formats of the Salento region — cavatelli, orecchiette, and more — using the same tools and techniques that Pugliese families have passed down for generations.

There's no watching from the sidelines. Every guest works at the pasta board, gets floury hands, makes mistakes, laughs, and learns. The class moves at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time for questions, stories, and the kind of real connection with local food culture that you simply can't get from a restaurant menu.

At the end, everyone sits down together to taste the pasta they made — the most rewarding bite of the trip. The class wraps up between 12:00 and 1:00 PM — leaving you perfectly placed to explore Lecce's baroque streets, boutiques, and cafés, all just steps away.
