Kamakura Street Food Tour with 7 Tastings

3 to 4 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

Sample seven different types of Japanese street foods unique to Kamakura on this hidden street food tour.

Eat dishes unique to Kamakura like traditional Zen Buddhist vegetable soup from a 773 year old temple, fluffy Japanese Red Bean Pancakes (dorayaki) with matcha, walnut confections from a legendary bakery, and grilled chicken skewers (yakitori) from a local market.

Meet me at the starting point in Kita-Kamakura. We will walk towards central Kamakura, traveling through hidden side streets and quieter local areas rarely visited by tourists.

Along the way, eat to your heart's content while hearing stories about Kamakura’s history, daily life, and food culture. We'll end your tour in the heart of Kamakura. I will give you a list of my favorite activities and restaurants for the rest of the day in Japan's samurai capital.
