Dalkey Village Walking Tour with Local Chef Guide

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

Skip the coach tour. This is Dalkey the way a local sees it — walked at an easy pace, with plenty of stops for photos, questions, and craic along the way.

You'll start at Dalkey Castle, one of Ireland's last surviving medieval town castles, before wandering the village's narrow streets down to Coliemore Harbour — once Dublin's main port, now a quiet fishing harbour looking out to Dalkey Island. From there to a hidden gem - Sorrento Park, taking a different route back into the village so you see as much of Dalkey as possible without doubling back. Keen hikers may continue and walk Kiliney Hill.

Your guide has spent decades as a chef and tour guide around Dublin, and mixes real history with the kind of stories, humour, and local knowledge that guidebooks don't cover.

The tour finishes back in the village near several excellent pubs for lunch (own expense) — ask your guide for a recommendation.

Perfect for cruise passengers — an easy, low-stress way to spend a shore excursion.
