The workshop is led by a trained archaeologist in a peaceful hidden garden in central Athens. No previous experience is needed—just curiosity.
Perfect for families with children aged 5+, this small-group experience combines learning, teamwork and fun, giving both children and adults the chance to become archaeologists for a day.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We are located in a small side street. Look for the grey single-storey building with metal shutters. We will be waiting for you at the door 5 minutes before the workshop starts.
What to expect
Your family will excavate buried artefacts using real archaeological tools, then wash, identify and interpret your discoveries with the help of a professional archaeologist.
Young archaeologists will sketch their finds, just like on a real excavation, solve the mystery of who lived in an ancient Greek house, and discover what children, families and craftsmen did over 2,000 years ago.
Along the way, children will enjoy creative activities inspired by Ancient Greece, handle museum-quality replicas and complete their own archaeological investigation.
At the end of the workshop, every child takes home one archaeological find as a special souvenir of their adventure.
