  We leave the city limits behind and journey past Mount Entoto, ascending even higher into the stunning Oromia region to reach the remote Akaku Village. Sitting at a breathtaking 3,400 meters above sea level, this pristine highland outpost is where your true horseback adventure begins. You will mount a sturdy local mountain horse and trek across sweeping, high-altitude rural landscapes far away from the standard tourist tracks. As you ride through the expansive farmlands, you will see local farmers tending to their crops and livestock using traditional methods passed down through generations.
