Whether you hike the direct or more adventurous route, your guide will share stories and facts with you, making sure you learn more than just the trail.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Meeting point for India Venster (adventure route) will be at lower cableway station. Meeting point for Platteklip Gorge (direct route) will be at the Platteklip Gorge Starting Point. Detailed joining instructions will be supplied before the hike.
What to expect
You choose one of two routes up the mountain:
Platteklip Gorge.
The most popular and direct route to the table top. This trail mainly comprises of rocky steps that zig zag through the stunning gorge. Steep in places, this route will leave you breathless in more ways than one!!
India Venster.
This route is perfect for the more adventurous traveller! You will need to get both hands and your head for heights involved for this trail. Epic climbing sections and views along with the famous window (venster) rock formation, ideal for those memorable photo opportunities.
All descents will be via the Table Mountain Cableway at your own expense and subject to operational hours and weather conditions.
Non operation of the Cableway dictates a hiked descent down Platteklip Gorge.

- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
