On this full day, guided excursion, you will go through the mountains that surround Mendoza city. See stunning scenarios along the way, and many other points of interest such as the majestic Cordon del Plata mountain range, the Potrerillos Dam, Uspallata settlement, and "Puente del Inca" which is the southern last point of the Inca Empire, Aconcagua scenic viewpoint and the Cristo Redentor monument. Pickup and drop-off at select hotels provided.

Please take into account that the tour will be given in English at the featured places which are: Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca, Aconcagua and in summer at Cristo Redentor.

    Mendoza

    Start your full-day journey from Mendoza with an early morning pickup from your selected hotel. Travel west along Route 7, following the Mendoza River and entering the spectacular landscapes of the Andes.

    Uspallata

    Enjoy scenic views of Potrerillos Dam and the surrounding Cordon del Plata mountain range as we make our way toward Uspallata. In Uspallata, take a break to explore this historic mountain town and learn about its pre-Hispanic and Inca heritage.

    Penitentes Mendoza

    Continue deeper into the Andes, passing through the mountain settlements of Picheuta, Polvaredas and Punta de Vacas. We’ll also stop at Los Penitentes, a former ski resort surrounded by dramatic Andean peaks, where you can enjoy panoramic views and take photographs.

    Puente del Inca

    Discover two of the highlights of the High Andes. Visit Puente del Inca, a spectacular natural rock formation shaped by geological and thermal processes. Then continue to the Aconcagua viewpoint, where you can admire Aconcagua at 6,961 meters (22,838 feet), the highest mountain in the Americas, weather permitting.

    Las Cuevas

    Continue toward the Chilean border and reach Las Cuevas, a small mountain village located at approximately 3,200 meters (10,500 feet) above sea level. From January to March, and when weather and road conditions allow, the tour may continue to the Cristo Redentor de los Andes, a landmark symbolizing peace and friendship between Argentina and Chile. Please note that access to Cristo Redentor is seasonal and subject to weather, road conditions and traffic.

  • Mendoza (Pass by)

    After exploring the High Andes, relax on the journey back to Mendoza. The tour normally returns to your selected hotel at approximately 5:30 PM. During the summer months, when the visit to Cristo Redentor is possible, the return may be delayed until approximately 8:00 PM.
