*Note: Gather at Saishu-ji (10 min walk from Gojo Station). To accommodate temple rituals, the venue may occasionally shift to a nearby equivalent temple with advance notice.

Meeting and pickup
The temple entrance is a traditional wooden gate located on 【Aino-machi Street】, right between Gojo and Rokujo streets. You will see 【"Ayako Tenmangu Shrine"】 directly across the street from our entrance. Please look for our welcoming sign at the wooden gate and walk straight inside.
What to expect
Arrive at the peaceful grounds of Saishu-ji Temple. Begin by enjoying a bowl of authentic matcha green tea and traditional seasonal sweets.

Your English-speaking guide provides a clear and approachable background on Kabuki and classical Japanese dance, explaining the history, the meaning of the movements, and how stories are expressed without words.
【3. Live Dance Performance Up Close】
Sit just a few feet away from a professional dancer to watch 3-4 classical dance pieces. Observe the delicate control of dancing fans, expressive gestures, and traditional costuming in an intimate setting.

【4. Photo Opportunity & Dialogue】
After the performance concludes, take photos with the artist inside the historic temple hall, and ask any questions about the training, makeup, and lifestyle of a traditional performer.
