Itinerary

Duration: 5 days (approximately)
    Day 1

    Pick up from Kampala or Entebbe to Transfer to Kibale national Park.

  • Kibale Forest National Park (Pass by)

    At 7am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe to drive and transfer to Kibale forest national park. The drive will take you 5 to 6 hours arriving in the afternoon. Relax at your hotel as you prepare for the next days activities.

    Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetlands walk

    Kibale Forest National Park

    In the morning at around 7am after breakfast, you will transfer to Kanyanchu tourists centre for a briefing. After briefing through the forest with a park guide you will start the search for chimpanzees. Once you meet them you are allowed to spend 1 hr following them and taking pictures. Then later on you will return to the start point.

    Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary

    In the afternoon you will go for nature walk in bigodi wetland. The Wetland is home to plenty of other primates, like the black and white cobs monkeys, baboons and it is also home to many birds.

    Drive to Transfer to Bwindi Forest.

    Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

    At around 8am, you will depart Kibale national park to drive and transfer to Bwindi. The drive will take you about 6 hours arriving the afternoon. Check into your hotel.

    Batwa Trail

    Go visit the Batwa community pygmies of the area to learn more about their culture, traditions and norms. Learn how to use a traditional spear, weave buckets and also about how they used to survive in this impenetrable forest.

    Gorilla Tracking.

    Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

    As early as 6am, you will have an early breakfast, and then drive to transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing and being allocated a gorilla group to track, you will along the different trails searching or gorillas, once you meet them, you are allowed to spend 1 hours following them and taking pictures. . Later you will return to the start point.

    Drive to Transfer back to Kampala.
