Join me, a local guide and teacher, to discover the secrets of the centuries-old gem of the Adriatic Sea, the home of stone masonry. Stroll along medieval walls and picturesque streets that hide numerous stories about the city’s past. Stop at the Cathedral of St. Mark, the central symbol of religious and artistic life, as well as the surrounding churches and palaces that bear witness to influential families and noble traditions. Find out about the Korčula Statute, how it shaped the lives of local people and their governing authorities. Learn about the city’s urban layout, the ingenuity of its ancestors. Hear the story of Marco Polo and discover his strong ties with Korčula and its people. Uncover what connects sports, swords and tunics and discover what it truly means to be a Korčulan. I'll share my childhood memories and present-day experiences of an islander. Treat yourself to a welcome drink at one of my favourite restaurants in the Old Town. Enjoy Korčula's sunrises and sunsets.
