Cayo Levantado (Bacardi Island) After the whale-watching experience, we head to Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Dominican-style buffet lunch right by the sea. After lunch, there’s time to swim in the crystal-clear waters and white-sand beaches, or simply relax under the shade of the coconut trees while enjoying a refreshing Cuba Libre.

Every year between January and March, the Dominican Republic has the privilege of offering a truly unique natural experience: Humpback Whale Watching, which can be enjoyed along the coastal waters of Samaná and Miches. We depart from the hotels across the Eastern Plains, travelling through lush green landscapes, wide grasslands, and charming small towns nestled between the mountains and the sea, on our way to this unforgettable adventure. Our first stop is Las Cañitas Pier, where we board the boat that will take us to the Humpback Whale Sanctuary. The boat ride lasts approximately two and a half hours.
