    Lakeside walk and photo stop. On a calm morning the Zugspitze is mirrored in the clear green water of Lake Eibsee.

    Cable car from Eibsee to Germany's highest summit at 2,962 m, about ten minutes. Time at the top for views of peaks in four countries on a clear day. Cable car ticket is bought separately.

    Stroll the old Ludwigstraße, lined with houses covered in traditional painted facades, and see the Olympic ski jump above the town.
