What to expect
You will be welcomed into my home, the home where I live with my family. You won’t visit a cooking studio or a food school – you’ll share a meal and a Mexican family tradition while enjoying drinks, huapango music and a relaxed conversation.
We will prepare a delicious Mexican snack, traditional tacos and a real red rice. Later you will learn how to prepare chilies, learn about the ingredients of mole poblano and grind them together to make this family recipe, while talking about Mexican history, culture and legends surrounding mole.
Before we say goodbye, you will receive an itacate, a beautiful Mexican tradition. You will take a slice of everything we cook to enjoy the mole again the next day, when its flavors become even deeper and more delicious.
