Discover Albufeira beyond the beach on a relaxed walk through its historic Old Town. With a local guide, explore the narrow streets of the former castle citadel, hear stories of the town’s heritage and pause at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the coast.
This tour covers four to five kilometres, with regular stops for stories and photos.

Meeting and pickup
Meet your guide at Pau da Bandeira Viewpoint, overlooking Old Town Fishermen’s Beach. Your guide will be waiting beside the yellow “DAE” emergency station, wearing or carrying an item displaying the orange Smart Traveller logo. Please arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled start time.
What to expect
During the tour, visit two or three carefully selected local venues, depending on your chosen option, and taste eight or twelve traditional Portuguese petiscos. Water is included at the tasting venues, other drinks may be purchased separately.
The experience concludes with a final tasting at a coastline view venue in Albufeira Old Town, where your guide can share recommendations for the rest of your stay.
