This trek is a **five-day adventure through Peru’s incredible natural landscapes**, combining high-altitude mountains, turquoise lakes, lush jungle, and thrilling activities.

The first two days take you through the **high Andes at around 4,000 meters**, surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks and stunning blue lakes. On the third day, you’ll cross from the Andes into the **lush jungle**, where you can relax in natural hot springs and enjoy the changing scenery.

The final days bring even more adventure, including **ziplining through the jungle** and, of course, an unforgettable visit to **Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World**.

You can send us the details of your hostel in Cusco when you can, at least 24 hours before the start tour day. We will pass by your hotel between 5:30 to 6:00 am to pick you up, you can wait for us at the reception of the hotel.

    Humantay Lake & First Camping Site

    Humantay Lake

    Start with a **4:30 AM pickup** and travel to Challacancha. From there, hike to **Soraypampa (3,900 m)**, where you’ll set up camp and have lunch. In the afternoon, hike to **Humantay Lake (4,200 m)** and return to the campsite.

    Crossing the Edge of the Andes

    Salkantay Trail

    Early in the morning our assistant will wake up the whole expeditionaries to give them a good tea, so they can be better acclimatized by the height, and then we will take our breakfast to be ready to start a 3 hours hike until reach the highest point of our expedition, the Salkantay Pass 4600meters (15091 FASL) full of wonderful sceneries, with powerful and intimidating Andean mountains, then we will do what the Inkas did in the pass, we will pray and ask to the Apus (Mountain Gods) the permit to pass. From there, we walk down towards Wayracpunku (HuayraPampa), to have lunch. Afterwards, the trip will continue going to the high jungle where we will observe large trees with their arms extended over the streams, surrounded by bromeliads and orchids. This walk will takes us around 5 hours to reach our base camp in Chaullay 2900meters (9514 FASL), Where we will have dinner and rest.

    Entering the Inca Jungle & Relaxing in the Hot Springs

    Santa Teresa

    After having breakfast around 6:30 am, we will head towards Sahuyaco (La Playa) 2000meters (6824 FASL) in a jungle trekking where the temperature oscillates in 25°C during the day and 14°C during the night. We will have lunch in this place. Then we continue our trip in our transport to Santa Teresa 1550meters (5085 FASL) where we will set up our base camp and we will enjoy a relaxing reward in Cocalmayo (Hot Spring) Then we will have a traditional Peruvian dinner and rest well to be prepared for the next day.

    Ziplining & Hiking Near Machu Picchu

    Aguas Calientes

    After breakfast, enjoy a **zipline adventure or a 2-hour trek from Santa Teresa to Hydroelectric**, where the group will meet for lunch. Then, hike for about **3 hours along the railway to Aguas Calientes**, arriving around 5:00 PM. Spend the night at a hostel, enjoy dinner, and attend a briefing about the next day’s **Machu Picchu visit**.

    Exploring Machu Picchu & Returning to Cusco

    Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu

    Start at 4:00 AM with a hike to Machu Picchu and enjoy a sunrise visit. At 6:00 AM, have a 2-hour private guided tour, followed by free time to explore. At 11:30 AM, hike back to Hydroelectric, where the bus departs at 3:00 PM, arriving in Cusco around 10:00 PM. Optional: Add an extra night in Aguas Calientes or upgrade to the return train for more time and a more comfortable journey.
