You can send us the details of your hostel in Cusco when you can, at least 24 hours before the start tour day. We will pass by your hotel between 5:30 to 6:00 am to pick you up, you can wait for us at the reception of the hotel drinking a good tea.
The adventure begins with a 5:30 a.m. pick-up from your hostel in Cusco. After a stop in Ollantaytambo, we continue to Abra Málaga (4,350 m), where we start an exciting downhill biking descent to Santa María (1,800 m). After enjoying a traditional lunch, we continue with Class III white-water rafting, combining fun and adrenaline in the perfect setting. Finally, we head to a comfortable EcoLodge to relax and spend the night.
After breakfast, the guide will introduce you to the incredible variety of plants found in the jungle. We then begin a 4-hour trek along the Inca Trail, surrounded by lush vegetation, orchids, birds, and diverse wildlife. Along the way, we will enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by a local community, featuring native fruits and tubers. The day ends at the relaxing Cocalmayo Hot Springs, where you can unwind before heading to the lodge.
After breakfast, we head to the nearby zipline area, where we’ll enjoy several zipline routes, cross a suspension bridge, and try some light rock climbing. Afterward, we continue by bus to **Hidroeléctrica** for lunch and a short break. Then, we begin a 3-hour trek to Aguas Calientes, walking alongside the Urubamba River and enjoying waterfalls and jungle scenery along the way. Upon arrival, we’ll have dinner at a local restaurant and receive a briefing for our Machu Picchu visit. After dinner, you’ll have free time to explore Aguas Calientes.
We’ll wake up at 4:00 a.m. and hike up to Machu Picchu through the high forest, aiming to arrive around 6:00 a.m. The guide will lead a 2-hour guided visit of the sanctuary, followed by free time to explore Machu Picchu until approximately 11:30 a.m. We then hike back to Hidroeléctrica (about 3.5 hours), where transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco, arriving around 10:00 p.m. Optional: You can stay one extra night in Aguas Calientes for $30 and return the following day, or upgrade to a train return for a faster and more comfortable journey.
