Twilight Tales of Edinburgh

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

As daylight fades, we gather in the shadows of the Writers' Museum in Makars' Court. We'll follow the Royal Mile and slip into lesser-seen corners of the Old Town to uncover Edinburgh’s darker tales - myths, legends, and hidden histories that feel even more alive after sunset. Expect a walking tour packed with stories, secrets, and the details most people pass by, told in our usual “walk with a friend” style: personal, flexible, and never scripted.

Because this tour explores darker themes, it’s generally better suited to teens (13+) and adults. We’ll be discussing topics such as murders, torture, and executions, and we’ll always do our best to read the group and keep the storytelling engaging rather than gratuitous.

One more note for dog-lovers: these tales are a bit too dark for the ears of our young Golden Retriever tour guides, Walter and Arthur, so they won’t be joining us on Twilight Tales of Edinburgh.
