The Peranakan Mansion is a private museum in a beautifully conserved shophouse. The Peranakans, or Baba-Nyonya, are a unique community born from the marriage of Chinese traders and local Malay women centuries ago. Their culture is a beautiful blend of Chinese, Malay, and European influences.

Guests will be brought along a fascinating walk in the Katong-Joo Chiat district, designated as Singapore’s first Heritage Town. Key attractions include the famous Katong Laksa (unique Peranakan dish), Kim Choo Kueh Chang (Peranakan snacks), colourful art murals, beautiful conserved Peranakan houses along Koon Seng Road, and finally the Peranakan Mansion, a private museum chockful of authentic Peranakan artefacts.
