On this tour, we leverage over twenty years of experience as a multilingual guide in Lofoten, giving you the opportunity to visit and admire Lofoten through the eyes of a resident who has embraced the profession of tour guide and transformed it into his life's work. He will tell you about every bend in the road, every house, hut, fish factory, bridge, and harbor. It's a journey into the culture of a village, into the soul of a local, in good or bad weather, with calm or strong gusts, an authentic experience in the breathtaking north of Norway. The minivan is the ideal vehicle for navigating the narrow roads of Lofoten. Its "mere" seven seats, instead of the "traditional" nine, ensure comfortable seating, and its four-wheel drive ensures excellent road holding even on icy roads.

1Torvdalshalsen
From the panoramic terrace overlooking the Borg Fjord (borgpollen), an Iron Age Viking settlement, and the highest mountains on the island of Vestvågøy, you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the island. Restrooms are accessible year-round.

2Flakstad Church
Old wooden church, the oldest we find on the islands, built in 1780. In 1938 an extensive restoration brought the church back to its original appearance. The original metal spire from the Pomor trade was put back in place.

Brunstranda, a rocky beach, and the adjacent Skågensand, a surfing beach, are among the most famous attractions on Flakstad Island. We'll stop at the parking area between the two beaches, with three restrooms available. Here, too, we'll enjoy unforgettable scenery and an unobstructed view of the Arctic Ocean.

4Hamnoy Bridge
You can walk across the Hamnøy Bridge and take fantastic photos of the stilt huts and the different fjords that join together here to form Reine Fjord. I'll wait with the van on the other side of the bridge. The views from this location are truly breathtaking.The landscapes from this location are truly breathtaking. The guide reserves the right to decide whether or not to take this excursion depending on weather conditions. If the wind is prohibitive, the bridge crossing will be done by vehicle.

5Reine
We will visit the village of Reine, the pearl of the island of Moskenes, where we will stop long enough to see the ancient fishermen's huts called Rorbuer, taste the cakes and delicious cinnamon rolls of the local coffee shop (not included) and visit the souvenir shop of the village if the weather permits and the parking is accessible. We will also make a photostop in Reinehalsen.
