What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We will meet at the main entrance of the premises. Sifón Sodería is a traditional sodería and bar in Chacarita. Look for the premises on Av. Jorge Newbery; your host will be waiting at the entrance to begin the experience.
The experience ends at La Fuerza Bar, located at Av. Dorrego 1409, corner Castillo, in the Chacarita neighborhood. Travelers will be able to stay in the bar and continue enjoying the space once the experience is finished.

At Sifón Sodería we will begin the experience with an introduction to the history of vermouth and its relationship with Porteño culture. The host will explain how this drink arrived in Buenos Aires with European immigration and how it became part of the traditional ritual of getting together to have vermouth with soda and something to share. Travelers will be able to learn about the concept of soda and its importance in Argentine popular culture, while enjoying a vermouth served with soda from a traditional siphon. The tasting will be accompanied by different dishes to share, such as french fries, hummus, fritters, and croquettes. During this first moment, the host will also tell stories and curiosities about the Buenos Aires customs related to vermouth, soda, and social gatherings in neighborhood bars. It will be the starting point of the experience and a first approach to the vermouth ritual in Buenos Aires before continuing to La Fuerza.

At La Fuerza Bar, the tour continues by getting to know one of the most representative spaces of contemporary vermouth culture in Buenos Aires. The host will tell how this drink regained prominence in the city. During this stop, each traveler can choose a cocktail from a selection of 8 different options made with vermouth, discovering different ways to enjoy this drink. The tasting will be accompanied by dishes to share, including fainizetta and potato omelet, two classic preparations of Porteño gastronomy. While enjoying the drinks and food, the host will explain the characteristics of the different cocktails and continue connecting the vermouth with the history, gastronomy, and social customs of Buenos Aires. This will be the last stop of the experience, where travelers can relax, socialize, and enjoy the bar atmosphere before finishing the tour.
