Sail from Auckland CBD on Island Direct’s 1:15 p.m. departure with a pre-booked seat, or take the earlier 1 p.m. Fullers360 sailing. At Matiatia, meet Colin or Richard, your private guide, for an afternoon of premium tastings, local flavours, and island stories.

Enjoy complimentary coffee overlooking Oneroa Bay, followed by an olive oil tasting at Allpress Olive Groves, with mānuka honey available when possible. Choose two tasting experiences from Mudbrick, SOHO, Te Motu, or Alibi Brewing at Tantalus Estate. Along the way, take in beautiful views and enjoy local stories that bring Waiheke to life.

Finish the guided portion at Cable Bay Vineyard with a charcuterie platter and a glass of wine. Linger over the views, with additional food and wine available at your own expense. When you’re ready to leave, complimentary taxi transport will take you back to the Matiatia ferry terminal.

What to expect

1. Matiatia pickup — ferry arrives 1:40 p.m.; depart by 1:45 p.m.
Meet Richard or Colin at Matiatia and settle into your private Lexus SUV.

2. Glazed, Oneroa — 10 minutes
Enjoy complimentary coffee overlooking Oneroa Bay and discuss your afternoon with Richard or Colin.

3. Mudbrick Vineyard — 35 minutes
Taste Mudbrick wines amid beautiful gardens and sweeping views across the Hauraki Gulf.

4. Allpress Olive Groves — 30 minutes
Enjoy a guided olive oil tasting, with local honey when seasonally available.

5. Second vineyard — 35 minutes
Taste wines at SOHO, Tantalus or Te Motu, chosen to suit your preferences.

6. Trig Hill — optional, 15 minutes
Take a scenic detour to Trig Hill for island views, time permitting.

7. Coastal sightseeing — 60 minutes
Explore Onetangi, Palm Beach, Enclosure Bay, Sandy Bay, Little Oneroa and Oneroa Village.

8. Cable Bay — guided tour finishes at 6 p.m.
Enjoy a shared twilight charcuterie platter and a glass of wine in a spectacular sunset setting.

9. Later taxi transfer — time arranged
Linger at Cable Bay, with a complimentary taxi to the ferry at a time arranged with us.
