Discover the clifftop drama of Dunnottar Castle and the charm of Stonehaven on this private half-day tour with a driver who knows the area inside out. We collect you from your hotel, home or cruise ship and head straight to Dunnottar, the spectacular ruined fortress perched above the North Sea that has starred on screen and in Scotland's history for centuries. You will have time to walk down and explore the castle and its headland, with your driver on hand for the stories along the way. We then take in Stonehaven's picturesque harbour and coastline before returning you to your door. It is an easy, comfortable half day for families, couples and small groups who would rather travel privately than pile onto a full-size coach.

1Dunnottar Castle
The highlight of the tour. We stop at Dunnottar Castle, the dramatic ruined clifftop fortress perched above the North Sea. You will have time to walk down to the headland and explore the ruins, with your driver on hand for the history and the best photo spots. Castle entry is paid at the gate on the day if you wish to go inside (about GBP 10 per person). You can also enjoy and photograph the castle free of charge from the headland.

2Stonehaven Harbour
We take in Stonehaven's pretty working harbour and seafront, ringed by old fishing cottages and cafes. A relaxed spot for photos and a stroll before we head back.
