Spring Racing Carnival Lunch Wine and Art. City transfers
Trade the track for the vines for a wonderful day trip to a spectacular wine region — a Spring Racing Carnival escape into one of Australia's great cool-climate wine regions, an hour from Melbourne.
cheese and wine tasting at Elgee Park, one of the Peninsula's original vineyards, where horses graze among the vines. From there, it's on to a leisurely lunch at the much-loved Merricks General Wine Store (seasonal local produce and a great list of Peninsula wines), in a relaxed country setting.
To round the day out, you'll head to Pt. Leo Estate for a walk through the sculpture park with a glass of sparkling or wine in hand. The views across Western Port Bay are a world away from the racetrack.
It's a fun day with the focus on great local food and wine shared with a local guide.

3Pt. Leo Estate
Pt. Leo Estate Sculpture Park Pt. Leo Estate pairs art, wine and sweeping views over Western Port Bay. Take a self-paced walk through the sculpture park, with more than 50 large-scale works by Australian and international artists. Enjoy it with a glass of sparkling or wine in hand, then take in the ocean outlook.
