Walk Through a Traditional Japanese Garden from the Edo Period As you leave the modern skyscrapers of Shiodome behind, a beautiful Japanese garden unfolds before you—a peaceful landscape that feels far removed from the heart of Tokyo. During the tour, we take a leisurely walk through Hamarikyu Gardens, a historic Japanese garden that dates back to the Edo period, and discover the history and traditions of Japanese garden culture. At the heart of the garden is Shioiri-no-Ike, a seawater pond connected to Tokyo Bay. Its scenery changes with the movement of the tides, creating a unique landscape that reflects the garden’s connection to the sea. Throughout the garden, you will find many beautiful spots that bring Japan’s history to life, including the famous 300-Year-Old Pine Tree and traditional teahouses that preserve the atmosphere of the Edo period. This is a unique Shiodome experience where you can discover both sides of Tokyo in one walk—the timeless beauty of traditional Japan.
Enjoy a Panoramic View of Tokyo Bay from Caretta Shiodome “SKY VIEW” Take an elevator up through the skyscrapers of Shiodome and visit “SKY VIEW,” a free observation space on the 46th floor of Caretta Shiodome.
