Real Bites of Shanghai Local Food Walk

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

A local food walk through the historic streets and residential neighborhoods of Xuhui District. Starting and ending at the Nie Er statue, you'll spend 2.5 to 3 hours wandering 4 km through a part of Shanghai where century-old shikumen buildings sit beside everyday food stalls, the kind of neighborhood where the real city actually lives. Along the way, make at least 6 stops for Shanghai street food classics: jianbing, soup dumplings, potstickers, lamb skewers, with a coffee or ice cream thrown in somewhere along the way. Small spots, regulars only, exactly the way locals like it.
