What makes this experience different is the complete journey: 10 curated Mangwon Market stops, not just a few samples. Guests learn what each dish is, how Koreans order and share it, and the stories behind the market. We sit together for a full bunsik table, end with pajeon, dotori-muk, makgeolli and the APT. game, and give each guest two Polaroids to take home. Hosted personally by Seungmin, the tour helps first-time visitors enjoy a Korean market with local confidence. It also supports our long-term project to create paid hosting opportunities for Seoul seniors.

What to expect

Meet your host at Mangwon Market and set off on a 2.5-hour food crawl through 10 carefully selected stops. Taste Korean market favorites while learning what each dish is made from, how locals eat and share it, and the stories behind Korean food culture. Sit down together for a shared bunsik table, then finish at a neighborhood pub with pajeon, dotori-muk and makgeolli. You’ll also learn the fun APT. game and take home a Polaroid memory. Alcohol and game participation are optional. Stops may change if a vendor is closed or sold out.
