Tulum, Mexico

8 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

We've spent years guiding travelers through the cenotes and natural sites of the Yucatán Peninsula, and Casa Tortuga is one of the most complete circuits we offer: five different cenotes on a single tour, each with its own character.

The 1.5-hour tour takes you through underground caves with ancient stalactites, semi-open caverns where the sound of water becomes music, an open cenote with intense green water perfect for a free swim, and cenotes where sunlight pierces the water creating perfect photo scenes.

The specialized guide accompanies you throughout, sharing the natural and historical context of each cenote. The pace is relaxed and unhurried, in small groups, so you can enjoy each cenote at your own speed.

The tour includes a life jacket for your safety and access to restrooms and showers at the end of the visit, at a fair and accessible price. It's the simplest way to discover one of the most complete natural circuits near Tulum.

What to expect

Your adventure at Casa Tortuga begins at reception, where your guide will welcome you and give a brief safety briefing before entering the jungle. The 1.5-hour tour takes you through five different cenotes, each with its own character: first, Cenote Wisho, an underground cave with ancient stalactites you'll carefully descend into with your guide. Next, Cenote Campana, a semi-open cavern where the echo of the water creates a unique setting for a calm swim. We continue to Cenote Tres Zapotes, an open cenote with intense green water, perfect for swimming freely and taking unhurried photos. From there, we reach Cenote Jaguar, where sunlight pierces the water creating one of the most photogenic scenes of the tour. We finish at Cenote Dorca, with calm waters, perfect for one last dip before heading back.

Throughout the tour, your guide will share insights on the geological formation of the cenotes and their importance to the local ecosystem, along with tips on the best photo angles at each stop.
