The more than 600-year-old Maria am Wasser Church stands on the right bank of the Elbe near Pillnitz Palace. This charming Lutheran church in Hosterwitz features an unusual South German Baroque style. Its small historic churchyard is one of the smallest cemeteries in Dresden.

4Schloss & Park Pillnitz
Pillnitz Palace, the former summer residence of the Electors and Kings of Saxony, is beautifully situated on the banks of the Elbe. The palace and its extensive gardens are well worth a full-day visit. On our tour, we pass the palace park and enjoy a wonderful view of the complex while crossing the Elbe by ferry.

The Blue Wonder, officially Loschwitz Bridge, is one of Dresden’s most famous landmarks. Built between 1891 and 1893, the steel bridge connects the districts of Blasewitz and Loschwitz across the Elbe. Nearby, Dresden’s Great Garden is the city’s largest park, with origins dating back to the Baroque era.

Dresden’s Old Town is one of Germany’s most beautiful historic city centres, famous for its magnificent Baroque architecture. Highlights include the Frauenkirche, Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera House, Royal Palace and Brühl’s Terrace. During our 6-hour XXL Tour, you will have around 1–1.5 hours of free time to explore the Frauenkirche, the Procession of Princes and Brühl’s Terrace, with wonderful views of the historic paddle steamer fleet and the Elbe Valley.
