A 19th-century military fortress with spectacular views of the port of Mahon
After driving along some incredible tarmac side roads, we’ll arrive in Alaior, where we’ll drive through the historic centre and can stop for a coffee opposite the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Visit this fishing village, its beautiful bay and charming harbour on the island’s north coast.
A stunning lighthouse perched on a cliff; we’ll have a soft drink at the bar, and you can visit the lighthouse keeper’s museum if you wish, subject to an admission charge.
A visit to one of the farms, set in a typical Menorcan manor house owned by the Baron of Lluriach. The house is quite a curiosity as it remains exactly as it was in 1900. They also sell cheese, cured meats and honey produced on the estate. Delicious, handmade products.
Visit the 12th-century Sanctuary of the Virgin of El Toro, situated at the highest point on the island, offering unmissable views of practically the whole island. There is a lovely bar where you can enjoy a snack on a pleasant terrace with views, next to the convent of Franciscan nuns who currently look after the sanctuary.
A visit to the beach with crystal-clear water on the south coast to cool off and enjoy a drink or a snack at the beach bar.
We’ll ride along the paths lined with dry-stone walls and pass through this little village with its pretty church.
A visit to the cove and the viewpoint, where, at sunset, you can make out the island of Mallorca to the south-west. There is also a seasonal bar with a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a drink.
