The aurora borealis is nature’s most spectacular light show, and Fairbanks is one of the best places in the world to see it. Head out under the northern lights with Levi Johnson - experienced aurora guide, photographer, and commercial pilot by training. Unlike most guides, Levi watches real-time space-weather and reads cloud forecasts, understands auroral patterns, and knows how to move when conditions change. In short, he’s one of the few who can genuinely anticipate when and where the lights are most likely to appear. Mother Nature can throw curveballs, but Levi comes prepared with the tools, flexibility, and know-how to give you the best possible chance. Photographers are welcome. If you’re chasing world-class shots, Levi knows the quiet, photogenic spots around Fairbanks, far from the big tour vans and crowded pullouts. Levi is fully licensed and commercially insured to operate in Alaska, and he values safety and customer experience above all else.
