5Hongya Cave
We arrive at Hongya Cave, the symbol of Chongqing’s legendary 8D‑magic city. This huge complex of traditional Bayu stilt‑houses (diaojiaolou) clings tightly to the steep riverside cliff. Built against the mountain, its 11 stacked floors follow the slope of the rock. You can enter from street level on the top floor and walk all the way down to the riverside, experiencing the mind‑bending vertical layout of mountain‑city architecture.
