CDMX Sensory visit of cocoa and chocolate

Accompanied by a Mexican host, you will learn a little more about cacao and chocolate, from cacao in its purest form to some of its different preparations. During the visit you can taste different cocoa powders, a traditionally prepared drink and another in a more contemporary style, in addition to seeing some chocolate presentations.

While you taste, you will discover part of the history and culture surrounding cocoa and learn about some of the ways it is transformed and enjoyed in Mexico.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

A person from the Chima staff will wait for you outside, dressed in black and with the Chima logo. If you arrive early, enter the building and pass the coffee. Go up the stairs on the left and turn right. You will find Chima's sign there.

What to expect

We will start with a brief introduction to cocoa to learn where it comes from, its cultural importance, and how it becomes chocolate. Throughout the visit, you will try different types of cocoa and chocolate, from pure cocoa to traditional and with different ingredients.

You will also learn some ways to prepare hot chocolate and you can enjoy drinks while discovering their flavors and aromas.
