What to expect
This is more than writing your name — it’s about transforming it into meaningful art.
Shoko carefully considers the sound, nuance, and impression of your name, as well as your personality, to select Kanji characters that suit you. Each Kanji has its own meaning, creating a unique story and identity for your name.
You can choose your own name, or those of family, friends, or pets. Words and phrases are also welcome.
As Shoko explains the meaning of your Kanji, she creates your artwork in front of you using traditional brush techniques.
Each piece is created on paper pre-painted with Shoko’s original watercolor designs. Choose your favorite from a selection of one-of-a-kind backgrounds.
Your finished artwork reflects your name, your preferences, and Shoko’s artistry — a unique collaboration between you and the artist.
Take your artwork home immediately as a memorable and personal souvenir from Japan.
If there are no other reservations in your time slot, additional orders from your group may be accepted on-site.
The experience is short and easy to enjoy between sightseeing in Tokyo.
