Discover the landscapes of Cradle Mountain on a full-day guided tour from Launceston. Travel through the scenic Meander Valley and Great Western Tiers, stopping in Sheffield, before continuing through rainforest, gorges and button grass plains into Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park.
One Destination. Two Experiences. (OCT to APR)
PARK EXPLORER – Enjoy a relaxed exploration of Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain. Discover Glacier Rock, the historic Boat Shed, Waldheim and Weindorfer’s Rainforest area with your guide.
DOVE LAKE CIRCUIT – Immerse yourself in the wilderness on the iconic 6 km Dove Lake Circuit. Walk through ancient rainforest while enjoying mountain scenery and Tasmania’s unique flora and fauna. A good level of fitness and some bushwalking experience is recommended.
Both groups travel together from Launceston before choosing their experience at Cradle Mountain. Includes return transport, National Park entry, lunch and expert local commentary.

Cradle Mountain National Park from approximately 10.30am to 3.00pm. Here you will get the opportunity to explore some parts of Dove Lake, Waldheim Chalet and Weindorfers Rainforest Walk.

3Sheffield Visitor Information Centre
Take some time to explore the murals and the township of Sheffield prior to departing for Launceston.
