    We journey to Rissani, the historical first capital of the Alaouite Dynasty and a highly important cultural hub. We will explore some of its ancient clay kasbahs and wander through the famous, bustling local market. This lively souk is where desert traders gather from all over the Sahara to sell spices, handwoven crafts, and livestock (including the famous donkey market).

    While in Rissani, you will sit down for a memorable lunch to try the local specialty dish: Madfouna (traditional Berber Pizza).     After breakfast at your hotel, our morning begins with an exploration of Ouarzazate’s legendary cinematic landmarks. We will visit the famed Atlas Film Studios, one of the largest movie studios in the world. Walk through real standing sets where massive Hollywood blockbusters and hit TV series like Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Game of Thrones were brought to life. Entrance fee is around 110 MAD per person. The visit is optional, you can stay inside the vehicle.

    Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah

    Next, we take a short drive to the iconic, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient, fortified clay and stone village is an architectural masterpiece of southern Moroccan design. Following a delicious lunch break at a local restaurant overlooking the river, you will have plenty of time to explore its winding alleyways, step inside the old structures, and climb to the granary at the very top for magnificent panoramic views over the surrounding valley.     We aim to arrive in the vibrant city of Marrakech by late afternoon, typically around 6:00 PM (subject to local mountain and city traffic conditions). Drop-off details: If you are staying deep inside the car-free historic Medina, your driver will drop you off safely at the main entrance of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square or the closest accessible point so you can easily reach your Riad. If your hotel is outside the old city or accessible by main roads, you will be dropped off directly at your hotel door.
