    The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum (locally known as Villa Vailima) is the beautifully restored mansion where the famous Scottish author of Treasure Island and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde spent his final four years. Known affectionately to locals as Tusitala ("the teller of tales"), Stevenson built this grand colonial estate in 1890 before passing away here in 1894.
