After a short elevator ride and a brief climb, you’ll reach the interior dome gallery, where you can enjoy a breathtaking aerial view of the Basilica below. From here, continue your ascent of 281 steps to the very top of the Dome, where panoramic views of St. Peter’s Square and the city of Rome await.

  After descending from the Dome, you will rejoin your guide and enter St. Peter’s Basilica, named after the first Pope and regarded as one of the most important churches in the Christian world.
