The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.
Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.
After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.
Total Tour time 2 hours - 1 hour on the glacier with dogsledding (aprox 30 min sled ride) and 30 min at the lower glacier near the crevasses and blue melt pools. Aprox 30 min of flight seeing total round trip

Take an authentic dogsled ride on real snow with Alaskan huskies and mushers in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with sled dogs who have competed in the Iditarod and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for a thirty minute exhilarating ride through real snow. With only 4 participants per sled, everyone gets a turn to sit and enjoy the ride or stand on the runners and mush! Meet the dogs, chat with mushers, and take photos! After the sledding, fly to the lower elevation Knik Glacier and land right on the ice beside sparkling blue melt pools. Explore the nearby area for 25 minutes before returning to the departure point.

- We operate from a high altitude glacier covered in snow, please dress appropriately. Rain proof outer wear, warm layers, hats and gloves is required
- Alaska Helicopter Tours has Robinson 44s and ASTAR helicopters. We never guarantee the type of helicopter you will be flying in unless a private helicopter option is purchased. Parties with multiple separate bookings, or parties over 2 passengers may be in 2 helicopters, but will always be together for the tour.
