This surf experience takes place at Cerritos Beach, one of the most consistent and beginner-friendly surf beaches on the Pacific side of Baja California Sur. Known for long sandy beaches, open waves, and a relaxed Baja surf atmosphere, Cerritos offers ideal conditions for first-time surfers and intermediate riders looking to improve technique.
Unlike the calmer waters of the Sea of Cortez, Cerritos brings a more classic Pacific Ocean surf feeling, where rolling waves, open coastline, and changing swell conditions create a dynamic and authentic surfing environment. Lessons are guided by experienced local instructors who adapt coaching according to wave conditions and participant level.
The experience also includes time to relax at the beach and enjoy lunch at a local Baja-style restaurant, creating a full-day surf experience beyond the lesson itself.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
• Complimentary round-trip transportation is available from hotels in Cabo San Lucas and the Tourist Corridor
• If your hotel is not listed, feel free to contact us so we can check transportation availability for your area
• Guests arriving with their own vehicle may meet directly at Cerritos Beach (Big Fun Beach Club Parking Area), where the surfing lesson begins from the beach
• Hotels outside the main tourist area, including Hard Rock, Nobu, Rancho San Lucas, Diamante, or Four Seasons, are not included in complimentary transportation and will meet at Plaza Gali OXXO in Cabo San Lucas
• Cruise guests will also meet at Plaza Gali OXXO, approximately 3–5 minutes walking from the marina exit. Detailed walking directions will be provided with your confirmation message
• Cabo San Lucas cruise arrivals operate using tender boats, which may take additional time depending on port operations. We strongly recommend taking the earliest tender available or booking priority tender service whenever possible
• Guests who miss transportation or arrive late must arrive directly at Cerritos Beach before the activity start time at their own expense
Guests arriving with their own vehicle usually meet at Plaza Gali OXXO in Cabo San Lucas. The activity starts at Cerritos Beach. Please let us know in advance which location you prefer so we can provide your exact meeting time and instructions.
What to expect
Once the lesson begins, the rhythm of the Pacific becomes part of the experience itself. Waves roll consistently across the beach while surfers practice balance, pop-ups, and wave timing surrounded by the relaxed energy of Baja’s surf culture.
After time in the water, the experience slows during lunch at a local Baja-style restaurant near the beach. Between surfing, ocean views, Pacific sunsets, and the slower pace of Cerritos, the experience feels less like a lesson and more like spending a full Baja surf day on the coastline.

- No locker facilities are available, but belongings may usually remain inside the transportation vehicle during the activity
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems, pregnancy, or serious heart conditions
- Participants under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed
- Medical refund requests require an official same-day doctor’s certificate and prior notification before activity start time
