Discover the real Warsaw: a city of royal palaces, a reconstructed Old Town, traces of the former Jewish district, communist architecture and a dynamic contemporary centre.
Expect a tour that goes beyond the usual highlights and brings Warsaw’s complex history and vibrant present together. You’ll discover how the city was shaped by war, destruction, reconstruction and political change, while also seeing the creative and dynamic Warsaw of today. By the end of the tour, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the city, a sense of its unique character, and a few stories and hidden places that you might otherwise miss.
We will meet on Castle Square, next to Sigismund’s Column, a very tall monument dedicated to King Sigismund III Vasa. He is holding a sword and a large cross, so you can’t miss it!
We will finish our tour on Plac Pięciu Rogów, extremely poplar, pedestrian public space full of cafes, galleries and restaurants. If you’d like recommendations for restaurants, museums, bars, or anything else during your stay in Warsaw, please don’t hesitate to ask!
