Hotel pickup in Vang Vieng town center followed by a short drive north. Walk across a suspension bridge to visit Elephant Cave, famous for its natural elephant-shaped stalactite, ancient Buddha statues, and historic footprint.
Walk to the nearby Water Cave. Equip headlamps and headgear, sit on inner tubes, and pull along guiding ropes into the underground river chamber to explore the cave's natural rock formations.
Enjoy a freshly prepared Lao-style picnic lunch near the riverbank, featuring grilled meat or tofu skewers, fried rice, fresh bread, and seasonal tropical fruits.
Receive a safety briefing and paddle instruction before launching kayaks onto the Nam Song River. Kayak approximately 10 to 15 km downstream, passing traditional organic farms, green hills, and dramatic limestone cliffs.
Finish kayaking at the river landing dock near town and transfer back to your hotel or drop-off location in central Vang Vieng.
