BAUGASEL TURF HOUSE: All day riding tour

Adventurous riding trip through the breathtaking mountains and valleys of Hörgárdalur and Barkárdalur to a traditional Icelandic turf house cottage named Baugasel.
We will offer some local delicacies at Baugasel turf house.
If you want to tölt your horse , this is the right tour for it.

SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED: Intermediate to expert riders

AVAILABILITY: Summer (April-September); Saturdays at 10:00 am

Wear long pants and close-toed shoes, ideally with a little heel; safety gear supplied by Stable Stop.

we will rest and have light refreshment before we When we arrwe to the turfhouse we will have some beverages and coffee and traditional Icelandic snacks such as homemade Icelandic flatbread and kleina

Turn off the Ring Road at the sign for Ytri Bægisá. Follow the gravel road past the first group of houses (this is someone else's farm). The gravel road will turn to the left but go straight ahead up the hill and do not turn left. Continue past the sign for 'Bægisá Guesthouse' (do not turn in here) and continue up to the house with the large grass lawn. Drive to the back of the house and you will see a small church. What to expect

We will ride the horses from our farm Bægisá 12 km to the Turf House Baugasel in a deserted valley of Barkárdalur in Northeast Iceland. At Baugasel we will have something to eat and look inside the turf house. Then we ride the horses another 12 km to our farm. The nature is amazing view of mountain, rivers and waterfalls.
