We will pick you up at the Siem Reap airport and see you off at the Phnom Penh airport.
Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, your guide will be waiting for you at the exit holding a welcome board with your name on it. You will be driven to your hotel and you may rest for the remainder of the day. If time allows, you’ll visit the Angkor National Museum today with your guide. Many exhibits come from the Angkor ruins, giving you a deeper insight into Khmer history, culture, and art, and offering a great prelude to exploring Angkor Wat.
Today, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel to Angkor Wat. We will enter Angkor Thom via the South Gate, which rises majestically like a stone mountain spanning the moat.
Continue our steps toward Bayon Temple at the heart of Angkor Thom. Built in 1219, it was the Angkor Dynasty’s final Mahayana Buddhist temple.
Our next stop is Baphuon Temple, the world’s largest and most intricate three-dimensional structure. Then, the Terrace of the Elephants, known for its distinctive 3D elephant carvings, will be your final stop in the morning.
After a lunch break, we’ll visit Ta Prohm Temple, well known as a filming spot for “Tomb Raider”.
Later, follow your guide to Angkor Wat Temple, the best-preserved temple in the Angkor complex. You can also climb to the top for a panoramic view of Angkor Wat.
Tonight, you’ll then enjoy a special dinner accompanied by an Apsara Dance. After that, your guide and driver will escort you back to your hotel.
Today, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel early enough to arrive before the site opens at 5:00 to see the Angkor Wat sunrise. After that, we can escort you back to the hotel for breakfast or provide a packed breakfast picnic.
Our next stop is Beng Mealea Temple. This 12th-century temple is now a battleground of tree roots and massive stones.
After that, head to visit a less crowded Khmer Temple of Beng Mealea, a hidden treasure of Angkor, which is swallowed by jungle.
Then, let’s explore a different aspect of Cambodian life with a boat ride through the floating village of Tonle Sap Lake. Finally, your guide and driver will accompany you back to your hotel.
This morning, you will have a chance to participate in a cooking class to discover the secrets of authentic Khmer cuisines at a local home, which is also a good opportunity for you to interact with the locals and get close to their life.
In the afternoon, you will be transfered to the airport to catch the flight to the capital city of Phnom Penh. One hour later, your guide and driver in Phnom Penh will greet you in the Arrival Hall and take you to check into the hotel in the downtown area.
Today your guide will lead you through Phnom Penh. Our first stop will be the Royal Palace, built in 1434, symbolizing Cambodia’s shift from the Angkor era to the Phnom Penh period.
Just a short walk away is the National Museum of Cambodia, the country’s largest and most significant archaeological museum.
In the afternoon, you will be guided to visit two historic sites to know about the history of this country, from a tragic period. Firstly, you will head to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, where you will learn about the atrocities of Pol Pot.
Then you will continue to the Killing Field of Choeung EK to get to know about Cambodia’s history ruled by a brutal regime, the Khmer Rouge from 1975 to 1979.
After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport and be helped to board your outbound flight. We wish you a smooth journey!
