This is not a quick hour in front of one beach. It is a four-hour ride across the sea north-east of Phuket on a Sea-Doo GTX 1630, a premium touring jet ski that reaches up to 80 km/h. You land on island beaches, ride past Naka Noi and the mangroves, stop for lunch at Lucky View Point Bar on Naka Yai, visit Monkey Island and finish among the yachts of Ao Po Grand Marina. What usually costs extra is already in the price: hotel pickup, lunch, life jackets, a waterproof phone case, photos and videos of your ride, and insurance up to 500,000 THB per person. An English-speaking instructor leads the way, with no more than 5 jet skis on a departure. The price is for one jet ski, which you can ride alone or share with a passenger
Your driver collects you from your hotel anywhere in Phuket and drives you to Ao Po Pier, where your jet ski ride starts at 9:00 AM. Please give the exact name of your hotel when you book. Your pickup time is confirmed on WhatsApp the day before, so check your messages in the evening. Wait in the lobby with your swimwear already on under your clothes. After the ride, the same minivan takes you back to your hotel
The first landing of the ride is Ko Rang Yai, a short run from Ao Po Pier. You pull up to the beach, step off your jet ski and stretch your legs on the sand before the next stretch of open water. It is a good moment to take photos and get used to your Sea-Doo
Next comes Ko Phae, another landing where you leave the jet ski for some free time on shore. Walk along the water, take in the view of the islands around you and enjoy a calm pause between the faster stretches of the route
Your route bends around Naka Noi Island, which you see from the water without landing. Slow down, look at the shoreline from your jet ski and enjoy the island scenery from a different angle than most visitors get.
Around midday you park at Naka Yai Island and sit down for lunch at Lucky View Point Bar. Each guest chooses one dish and one drink, such as pad Thai or fried rice with a cold soft drink or coconut water, and fruit is served too. It is a proper break in the middle of the ride, with a view over the water.
The ride ends at Ao Po Grand Marina, where you cruise slowly past rows of yachts before returning to the pier at 1:00 PM. It is a relaxed finish after the faster parts of the route, and a good place for your last photos of the day.
Next you ride along a green wall of mangroves, seen from the water without landing. The mood changes from open sea to quiet, shaded coastline, and it is easy to look and take your time before the last stop. The ride ends at Ao Po Grand Marina, where you cruise slowly past rows of yachts before returning to the pier at 1:00 PM.
