The Arrábida National Park extends over an area that covers the municipalities of Setúbal, Palmela and Sesimbra. Come and discover the beauty of the Arrábida mountains, with their unique fauna and vegetation, and their striking landscapes. Enjoy a walk along the incredible beaches with their crystal-clear water, and visit the ancient city of Setúbal, as well as the typical fishing village of Sesimbra. On the way, try Setúbal’s renowned Moscatel wine and the famous “tortas de Azeitão” (Azeitão rolls).

Meeting and pickup
Private door-to-door pickup at 8:00 AM from your hotel, apartment, Lisbon Airport or Lisbon cruise terminal. Pickup is included for Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra (within 30 km of Lisbon); locations further away may incur a small surcharge – please contact us. After booking, please send us the exact address of your accommodation. Your driver/guide will wait for you at the hotel lobby / front door in a comfortable air-conditioned 5- or 7-seat car, holding a Lisbon on Wheels sign with your name. Please be ready 5 minutes before the pickup time; if you cannot find us, call or WhatsApp +351 927 673 012. The tour ends around 4:00 PM with drop-off at the same pickup location.

Exit Lisbon through the 25 de Abril bridge heading towards the Arrábida ridge.

2Costa da Caparica
Praia das Bicas – visit to the almost wild Praia das Bicas, an unexplored beach with clear waters in the Sesimbra area. From the cliffs you can enjoy a wonderful view of the ocean and of the Sintra ridge in the background.

3Sesimbra
We will make a short stop in Zambujal to see the famous dinosaurs footsteps.

5Praia da Lagoa de Albufeira

6Sesimbra
Towards Sesimbra – A fishing village located in a bay with calm water. In the village you can enjoy fish and seafood of exceptional quality and take a walk along the breakwater near the beach.

7Portinho da Arrabida
Serra da Arrábida – A climb up to the top of the ridge. Scenic viewpoints over Setúbal Bay, Tróia peninsula, and Lisbon skyline from Serra da Arrábida, presented in front of you! To the north you will be able to see the entire city of Lisbon, the mountains of S. Luís, S. Francisco, Louro and Gaiteiros. And to the south, the crystal clear blue sea, the islets, the Tróia peninsula and the city of Setúbal.

8Praia do Portinho da Arrabida
The climb down will be through Portinho da Arrábida. A paradisiacal beach with crystal clear water and white sand in the mouth of the river Sado. It can’t be missed!

- What to bring: comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses, swimwear and a towel in summer (beach stop), a light jacket for the breezy viewpoints, and some cash for lunch
- Walking: light, at your own pace – short walks of 10–20 minutes at each stop (about 2 km in total over the day). Sesimbra Castle has cobbled paths, some steps and uneven ground at the viewpoints; the beaches at Lagoa de Albufeira and Portinho da Arrábida are reached over sand
- Mobility: as a private tour, the itinerary is flexible – every stop can be shortened or enjoyed from the car/viewpoint, and the castle climb and beach walks are optional. Please tell us about any mobility needs when booking so we can adapt the day
- Restrooms: available at the lunch stop in Sesimbra, at the wine cellar in Azeitão and at cafés along the route (most with accessible facilities); there are no restrooms at the beach and viewpoint stops
