An hour from Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Selangor offers a world apart, where fishing and farming define the pace of life and one of Malaysia's most magical natural spectacles unfolds each evening. This shared evening tour brings it all together in one seamless outing.
Arrive at Bukit Melawati for views over the Strait of Malacca, the remains of Kota Melawati Fort, and a historic lighthouse, with silver leaf monkeys often spotted roaming freely. A Chinese-style seafood dinner follows at one of the leading local restaurants. As night deepens, board a shared boat and cruise upstream along the Selangor River, where thousands of fireflies flicker through the mangroves in a display that stops every first-time visitor.
Pickup included for guests within 0.5 km of KLCC and Bukit Bintang. Hotel pickup at 15:15, departure at 15:30.

Meeting and pickup
Pick-up is available from selected hotels located within Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle area (excluding Pudu). Guests staying outside this area are requested to gather at the Berjaya Times Square main entrance, outside Starbucks, at the scheduled tour departure time.
SIC pick-up from the hotel will be arranged within 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour departure time. Guests are requested to be ready and waiting at the hotel lobby entrance for the driver.
What to expect
Upon arrival, we visit Bukit Melawati, which is a popular tourist attraction and the hill overlooks the Strait of Malacca and it also has a lighthouse, as well as the remains of the Kota Melawati Fort. Next, we enjoy a Chinese-style local seafood dinner, before boarding a boat for the highlight of the evening – firefly watching. Cruising up stream, we observe thousands of fireflies flickering like Christmas lights in mangrove trees which line the riverbanks of the river. After this tour, we take a transfer back to the city.
