On our scenic drive through the Cotswolds we will visit the quaint villages and bustling market towns. Many of these places have not changed for around 500 years. The area of the Cotswolds looks like it has been lost in time and is full of honey coloured stone cottages. In the Cotswolds we will visit Stow on the Wold, Bibury, The Slaughters as well as a few others along the route. Lunch can either be in a country pub or one of the wonderful tea rooms scattered about the Cotswolds.
From The Cotswolds we head to Oxford. Discover the historic heart of Oxford on a guided walking tour through the city of dreaming spires. Stroll along the atmospheric streets and hear fascinating stories of Oxford University, its famous scholars, traditions and colourful past. Along the way, admire the exterior of some of Oxford’s most iconic landmarks, including the Bodleian Library, Radcliffe Camera, Sheldonian Theatre, University Church of St Mary the Virgin and several historic colleges. Your guide will bring the buildings and their history to life while pointing out hidden details, famous film locations and memorable sights along the route. Please note that this is an exterior walking tour and we do not enter the colleges or other buildings. If you would like to explore a college interior, we recommend visiting Christ Church independently after the tour. Entrance fees apply and the visit is self-guided. We will return to London around 6pm.
