The 55 km drive from Pokhara to Ulleri takes 3–4 hours, starting smoothly to Nayapul before switching to a rugged 4x4 route through villages like Birethanti and Tikhedhunga. You arrive at Ulleri (2,070m), famous for its stone steps. From Ulleri, the trek to Ghorepani (2,874m) climbs through dense rhododendron and oak forests, passing Banthanti and showcasing cascading waterfalls. The trail offers a cultural glimpse into Gurung and Magar communities. Arriving in Ghorepani, you are rewarded with cooler air, stunning mountain views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, and proximity to Poon Hill. You will rest overnight at a local teahouse.

The path then continues downward through the lush bamboo and rhododendron forests, with the cool mountain air gradually giving way to warmer, more temperate climates. As trekkers pass through Deurali and the peaceful settlement of Himalaya, the trail offers serene river crossings and views of cascading waterfalls. The descent brings you back through Bamboo and then to Sinuwa, at 2,310 meters, a tranquil village perched on a hillside. This part of the journey, while less strenuous than the ascent, still requires careful navigation and offers a rich tapestry of natural beauty and cultural encounters.
